Meet the Baker: Cheyenne 🖤
Hi, I’m Cheyenne — the baker, mama, dreamer, and slightly chaotic human behind The Wicked Whisk.
My love for baking started when I was just 5 years old, standing beside my grandmother, Pam, in her kitchen. She taught me that some of the best memories are made around a table, with flour on the counter and something warm coming out of the oven. She was the inspiration behind so much of what I do today — and even though she passed away in 2021, I carry a little piece of her with me in everything I make.
For years, I dreamed about having a little shop of my own. I waited two whole years for the right space in downtown Hudson to become available. When that opportunity finally came, I knew it was where I was supposed to be.
Today, I’m a mom of five, a wife, a business owner, a baker, a market manager, and a full-time professional plate spinner. 😂 If you don't see me at the shop, there’s a pretty good chance I’m home baking, chasing kids, working on my master's degree, answering approximately 47 messages, or trying to remember what I walked into the room for.
My family is a huge part of why I do what I do. Life hasn't always been easy, and my story certainly isn't perfect. I've walked through some pretty difficult seasons, experienced things that changed me, and learned along the way that sometimes you have to build the life you wished you had.
Baking became one of the ways I found my way back to myself.
What started with sourdough and farmers markets has grown into something so much bigger — The Wicked Whisk, alongside Serenity Maple Market, where you'll find small-batch breads, sweets, sourdough, tallow, apothecary-inspired goods, custom creations, and a little everyday magic.
I love the things that feel old-fashioned and intentional. Homemade bread. Handcrafted goods. Ingredients you can pronounce. A kitchen that smells like cinnamon. A little bit of weirdness. A little bit of witchy magic. And a whole lot of heart.
And if you've been around for a while, you probably know that I don't believe in doing things the “normal” way just because that's how they've always been done.
I'm constantly dreaming up something new — a new flavor, a new product, a new theme, a new business idea… sometimes before I've even finished the last one. 😂
But underneath all of it, my goal is simple:
I want to make things that feel like home.
Things that remind you of your grandmother's kitchen. Things that make an ordinary Tuesday feel a little more special. Things made with real ingredients, creativity, and a ridiculous amount of love.
So, whether you've been following along since the farmers market days or you're just discovering us for the first time…
Welcome to my little corner of the world.
I'm Cheyenne.
I'm the baker behind the mess.
I'm probably covered in flour.
And I'm so glad you're here. 🖤🥖✨
